This role involves providing outpatient therapy and case management for youth (13-18.5 years) in a residential recovery program, with a focus on co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
Engages youth and families, assesses risk factors including safety concerns, and completes involuntary holds as needed.
Conducts behavioral assessments, treatment planning, and provides individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices such as DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
Coordinates care with internal and external providers, manages a caseload of 6-7 clients, and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Provides crisis intervention, de-escalation, and collateral information from families and other providers.
Supports community agency liaison work, adheres to policies, and maintains professional standards.
Additional duties for certified addiction specialists include ongoing supervision, training, and billing documentation.
Requires a Master’s degree, clinical licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW), relevant experience, and certification in addiction counseling or ability to obtain within 6 months.
