We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans for speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments.
Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and recommend dietary textures.
Deliver therapy, document progress, and adjust treatments accordingly.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and swallowing safety.
Participate in care planning and supervise therapy assistants and students.
Requirements include a Master’s degree, valid licensure, preferably CCC-SLP, with experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing preferred. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential. This role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends.
