Seeking a compassionate School-Based Social Worker to support students’ social-emotional well-being. Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling for issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, bullying, and conflict resolution.
Respond to crisis situations, offering immediate intervention and coordinating with staff and external agencies.
Conduct assessments, develop individualized service plans, and monitor referrals to ensure continuity of care.
Support families through education on parenting, communication, and accessing resources, facilitating family meetings and workshops.
Collaborate with school staff to foster a positive environment, develop intervention strategies, and implement behavioral support plans.
Create prevention and education programs on topics such as bullying, social skills, substance abuse, and mental health, including classroom presentations and workshops.
Maintain confidential records of interactions, assessments, and referrals, preparing reports as needed.
Requirements include licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LCAT, or LMFT), experience with children and adolescents, knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care, and a commitment to diversity and ethics.
