The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist organizes and coordinates activities such as sports, arts and crafts, nature study, and social events to enhance patients’ physical, mental, and social well-being.

Prepares progress reports and collaborates with the treatment team to modify programs based on patient needs and capacities.

Implements recreational therapy within an interdisciplinary treatment setting and documents activities accurately.

Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or a related field, and certification as a CTRS or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 year experience in Therapeutic Recreation, with CPR and CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position supporting patients’ holistic development.
