We are hiring a Psychiatrist to work onsite at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, GA, overseeing mental health programs and collaborating with correctional staff and medical professionals.
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, therapy, and evidence-based treatment plans for inmates with complex mental health needs. Supervise mental health screenings, respond to crises, and support patient rehabilitation and community reintegration. Lead and participate in mental health training and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans and address patients’ needs. Qualifications include a medical degree (MD or DO), valid GA license, DEA registration, CPR certification, and board certification in Psychiatry. Experience with underserved populations, strong communication skills, data analysis abilities, and knowledge of legal standards are essential. Must pass criminal background and drug screening, and be physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting and responding to emergencies.
