We are hiring a Correctional Psychiatrist to provide mental health services onsite at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, GA.
Oversee clinical responsibilities for mental health programs, including comprehensive evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, therapy, and crisis response.
Collaborate with correctional staff and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Conduct mental health screenings, support patient rehabilitation, and facilitate successful community reintegration.
Lead educational activities related to mental health care and respond to acute mental health crises within the facility.
Qualifications include a medical degree (MD or DO), current unrestricted license in GA, DEA registration, and board certification in Psychiatry. Experience with underserved populations and strong communication skills are essential.
Must meet physical requirements, including the ability to stand, lift, and perform CPR tasks.
