The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Job Summary: Provides specialized wound care services in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, focusing on assessment, care planning, patient education, and collaboration to promote healing.
Qualifications: Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, valid MD/DO license, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Must complete Wound Care Certification within 6 months.
Job Factors: Demands physical effort, including lifting and mobility tasks, and requires working in various field environments. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and be prepared for exposure to biohazards.
Essential Functions: Conducts wound assessments, administers treatments, supervises staff, maintains documentation, and coordinates care. Must follow safety protocols, ensure confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
