Seeking a licensed Physician to provide high-quality medical care in a correctional setting.
Responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnosing, prescribing treatment, and follow-up care for inmates/residents. Lead and oversee the medical program, monitor care standards, and participate in treatment planning and clinical rounds. Perform minor and occasional major surgeries, hold clinics, and collaborate with staff and external providers. Ensure confidentiality of records, evaluate services for efficiency, and support facility accreditation efforts. Communicate effectively with staff, inmates, visitors, and external agencies, including legal and court matters. Respond to emergencies, manage security protocols, and maintain safety standards. Must have graduated from an accredited medical school, hold a valid medical license, and possess a driver’s license. Minimum age is 18; domestic travel may be required. Position offers a competitive salary range of $225,000 – $325,000 annually.
