Seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician to join and develop the department amid regional industrial growth and increasing workforce health needs.
Responsibilities include clinical care such as wellness services, physical exams, occupational illness treatment, workers’ compensation evaluations, and disability assessments; and corporate relations like developing health strategies, policy analysis, and risk mitigation.
Ideal candidates communicate risk effectively to industry and government leaders, lead medical teams, and possess knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations. Prior military or corporate occupational medicine experience is a plus.
Workload starts at approximately 0.6 FTE, increasing to 0.8 FTE, with duties including outpatient adult worker care, emergency response, and supervision of advanced providers. Also involves participation in legal cases, documentation, and implementing innovative practices.
Decision-making encompasses assessing population risks, job performance capacity, duty limitations, and work-related health causality. Management includes common occupational injuries, injury evaluation, treatment, diagnostics, and referrals.
Qualifications include MD or DO, residency in Occupational Medicine, board certification or eligibility, licensure in Wyoming, and potentially FMCSA certification for DOT exams. Excellent communication, organization, and proficiency in electronic medical records are required; bilingual skills are a plus.
