The Manager Trauma, a registered nurse, partners with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital administration to oversee the trauma program, including performance improvement, patient safety, trauma registry, data management, injury prevention, outreach education, outcome reviews, and research based on the program’s level of designation.
They serve as a leader of self, others, or leaders, assuming responsibilities such as program oversight, budget assistance, development of clinical protocols, staff education, performance monitoring, and representing the trauma program on hospital and regional committees.
They have oversight of the trauma registry and ensure adherence to standards set by verifying organizations. If acting as a Trauma Registrar, must meet role-specific requirements.
Participation in regional advisory councils and MCI drills is required.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; relevant trauma courses must be completed within 12 months of hire.
Minimum two years of trauma patient care experience.
Licenses and certifications include RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC (within 12 months), TNCC or ATCN; certifications like CEN, TCRN, or CCRN are preferred.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, not exceeding 1350 characters.
