The Licensed Therapist manages the clinical department to ensure effective service delivery.
Responsibilities include supervising staff, developing and monitoring departmental activities, and advising leadership on therapeutic environment issues. Assists in program administration, reviews activities for optimal resource utilization, and interprets policies. Ensures compliance with Medicaid and DYS standards for student records. Leads multidisciplinary teams to promote cohesion and oversees Medicaid systems. Participates in staff meetings and committee planning. Reviews case management and service methods, develops monthly schedules, and serves as “Administrator On Call.” Handles child abuse/neglect investigations and student grievances. Performs supervisory duties including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and addressing staff issues. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, licensure, experience in behavioral therapy, and familiarity with assessment, crisis intervention, and therapy techniques. Work is full-time, in person, with benefits and requires day shifts in Tuscaloosa, AL, with relocation preferred.
