We are seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to provide support and counseling to individuals with substance abuse issues in a detox facility.
Requirements include an Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, or related field, along with relevant certification or licensure. Proven experience in counseling within a substance abuse setting, knowledge of behavioral therapies, group facilitation skills, and understanding of co-occurring disorders are essential. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is necessary.
