The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
The multi-disciplinary team, including a Team leader, clinicians, Care Managers, and Peer Specialists, uses the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model to support participants through outreach, needs coordination, skill development, supportive counseling, and advocacy against discrimination and healthcare disparities.
The role involves fieldwork, community engagement, post-housing follow-up, and flexible hours, requiring a willingness to work on-call and travel across Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties.
Qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with MSW candidates considered if planning to obtain licensure and gain relevant experience.
This full-time position offers benefits such as 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and more, with a pay rate of $32-$34/hour. Candidates must relocate to Norwich, NY prior to starting.
