The Licensed Mental Health Professional will join a multidisciplinary Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing care to homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
Responsibilities include community outreach, coordinating needs pre- and post-housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating for clients facing discrimination or healthcare barriers. The team emphasizes member choice, harm reduction, and person-centered care.
Post-housing, the team continues support to ensure stability and independence. The role involves fieldwork, flexible hours, and periodic on-call duties.
- Minimum qualifications: Licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology. MSW considered with licensure plans.
- Travel across Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties required.
- Full-time, hourly pay $32-$34, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
- Must relocate to Norwich, NY before starting.
