The Resident Care Companion provides support for residents in a center under supervision of the Clinical Coordinator.

  • Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Help prepare and serve meals and snacks according to resident needs and facility standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Complete ongoing training (12 hours annually) related to job duties.
  • Report any abuse, neglect, or exploitation concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old, possess basic cooking skills, and demonstrate understanding of adult residents’ physical, mental, and emotional needs. Candidates should exercise good judgment, work independently and in teams, be flexible, emotionally stable, non-judgmental, and motivated. Preferred certifications include CNA and CPR.

    Details: Full-time or part-time roles, $17/hour, 24-40 hours/week, in-person work in Sioux Center, IA, requiring relocation. Benefits include paid time off. Shift options include day, night, and overnight shifts. COVID-19 precautions are in place, including PPE, temperature checks, and cleaning protocols.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
