The Resident Care Companion provides assistance with daily activities, personal cares, and food service at the center under supervision.
Qualifications include being at least 16 years old, possessing basic cooking skills, and understanding principles of supporting adult residents’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Candidates should demonstrate good judgment, independence, teamwork, flexibility, emotional stability, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Responsibilities involve aiding residents with bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, housekeeping, and laundry; assisting with meal preparation and service; maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas; documenting ongoing training (12 hours/year); reporting abuse, neglect, or exploitation; and performing other duties as assigned.
Position offers full-time or part-time hours (24-40/week), with pay starting at $17/hour and benefits such as paid time off.
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma, CNA and CPR certifications, and availability for day, night, or overnight shifts. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Sioux Center, IA, and work in person. COVID-19 precautions are in place, including PPE, temperature checks, and cleaning protocols.
