The CSAC – Assistant/Supervisee supports residential substance abuse treatment under supervision, assisting in client supervision, training, and monitoring.
Provides individual and group therapy, develops treatment plans, and conducts assessments to meet client needs.
Reviews clinical documentation, ensures compliance with regulations, and participates in quality assurance activities.
Acts as liaison with families, advocates for clients, and coordinates with other professionals and community agencies.
Supervises assessments of new residents, monitors treatment participation, and evaluates performance.
Trains and supervises interns or staff, and plans follow-up or aftercare programs.
Administers drug tests and analyzes dependency levels.
Collaborates with team members to determine care continuum, and participates in program development discussions.
Maintains professionalism, manages stress, and demonstrates strong communication and decision-making skills.
This full-time role requires a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with 1+ year of experience, preferably with holistic and trauma-informed approaches.
Requires in-person work in Galax, VA, with rotating hours, including night shifts, and the ability to relocate.
