The CAAP Counseling and Pre-Vocational Services program offers culturally competent, brief behavioral health counseling and vocational support to adults without dependent children facing mental health, substance use, or homelessness challenges.

  • Full-time Behavioral Health Counselor position, Monday through Friday, with benefits including health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401K.
  • Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, facilitating outreach at Navigation Centers, providing short-term mental health and substance abuse counseling, case management, and leading soft skills workshops.
  • Maintain clinical records in Epic and Launchpad, provide crisis intervention, and collaborate with clients and providers to coordinate care.
  • Participate in supervision, case conferences, and staff meetings, and offer referrals to community resources.
  • Qualifications include an MS/MA in a related field, current BBS licensure, bilingual in Cantonese and English, and at least one year of community-based direct service experience with underserved adults.
  • Experience with assessments, treatment modalities, dual diagnoses, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing is required. Preferred skills include vocational counseling, knowledge of local systems, and experience with electronic health records.
