This Independent Contractor Speech Language Pathologist position offers flexible, part-time hours with pay starting at $100/hour, based on experience.
Plans, organizes, and delivers speech therapy to improve communication, language, executive processing, and meal time safety.
Conducts evaluations, examinations, and interventions for patients of all ages with various diagnoses and disorders.
Documents in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards, demonstrating specialty-specific treatment.
Acts as a team member, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and families to coordinate services and advocate for patients.
Maintains patient confidentiality, tracks progress, and updates healthcare providers on condition changes.
Develops personalized treatment plans, sets goals, and uses diverse techniques, including recommending adaptive equipment.
Provides therapeutic interventions, advises on exercise techniques, and evaluates home environments.
Performs follow-up visits, assesses progress, and reports to healthcare teams and insurance agencies.
Participates in training, committee work, and may be on-call during weekends or emergencies.
Requires knowledge of brain injury (preferred), 2+ years of experience in home or rehab settings, and familiarity with technology and medical documentation.
Must be able to commute or relocate to Albuquerque, NM, and work in person.
