We are hiring a board-certified/eligible psychiatrist for an inpatient psychiatric facility providing intermediate-term care to a population of 149 patients across six units.
The role involves performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, mental status exams, diagnosing, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, prescribing medications, and monitoring patient responses. Responsibilities include documenting evaluations, progress notes, incident reports, and discharge summaries, participating in supervisory meetings, and contributing to hospital committees and policy review. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors and the Clinical Director. Qualified candidates must hold a NYS medical license and be board-certified or eligible in psychiatry. Salary ranges from $265,582 to $279,333 annually, with benefits such as retirement plans, health/dental/vision insurance, tuition assistance, paid leave, student loan repayment options, and visa sponsorship if needed.
