We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager for the Mental Health Inpatient unit to oversee nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
The role requires a strong background in geriatrics, medical-surgical, and primary care nursing, along with exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Responsibilities include monitoring staff practice to meet patient care standards, participating in quality improvement, and serving as a clinical resource and mentor to staff.
The candidate must have a nursing degree from an accredited school, at least three years of hospital care experience, six months in a charge role, and relevant clinical and management support skills.
Certifications required include BLS, RN licensure, and within a year, TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale. Additional certifications like ACLS, NRP, or PALS may be needed based on the unit assignment.
Must possess strong communication, reasoning, and customer service skills, and be able to address patient, family, and staff concerns.
The role involves participation in interdisciplinary teams, monitoring unit activities, and identifying resources to improve patient outcomes.
