The CAAP Counseling and Pre-Vocational Services program offers culturally competent, brief behavioral health counseling and vocational support to adults without dependent children facing mental health, substance use, or homelessness challenges.
Full-time Behavioral Health Counselor position, Monday through Friday, with benefits including health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401K.
Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, facilitating outreach at Navigation Centers, providing short-term mental health and substance abuse counseling, case management, and leading soft skills workshops.
Maintain clinical records in Epic and Launchpad, provide crisis intervention, and collaborate with clients and providers to coordinate care.
Participate in supervision, case conferences, and staff meetings, and offer referrals to community resources.
Qualifications include an MS/MA in a related field, current BBS licensure, bilingual in Cantonese and English, and at least one year of community-based direct service experience with underserved adults.
Experience with assessments, treatment modalities, dual diagnoses, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing is required. Preferred skills include vocational counseling, knowledge of local systems, and experience with electronic health records.
