This position involves organizing and coordinating recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, social events, nature study, and dramatics to enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of patients.
Prepares progress reports and collaborates with the treatment team to modify programs based on patient needs and capacities.
Responsibilities include implementing therapeutic recreation within an interdisciplinary team, executing treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field, at least 1 year of therapeutic recreation experience, and certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or equivalent.
CPR and CPI certifications are required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
