The RN – Nurse Manager oversees 24-hour operations of a designated clinical department to ensure high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, managing staff performance, developing policies, and promoting clinical excellence and innovation.
They lead staffing, foster team development, and support evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
The role involves operational and fiscal management, performance improvement, risk management, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Collaborating with medical staff and support departments, they facilitate team participation, ongoing education, and system improvements.
In absence, may support direct patient care as a staff RN.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, RN licensure, BLS certification, and preferred clinical and supervisory experience.
Additional certifications like ACLS or PALS are beneficial.
Work is primarily day shift with rotating weekends, no travel required.
