We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, treat, and educate residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
- Perform assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services to improve residents’ functional abilities and quality of life.
- Conduct bedside swallowing evaluations, recommend dietary textures, and modify treatments based on progress.
- Document all evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Supervise assistants and students, participate in care planning, and foster a supportive environment.
Requirements include a Master’s degree, current licensure, and preferred CCC-SLP certification. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred.
