The Resident Care Companion provides assistance with daily activities, personal cares, and food service at the center under supervision.
Must be at least 16 years old with basic cooking knowledge and understanding of adult residents’ physical, mental, and emotional needs. Demonstrates good judgment, independence, teamwork, flexibility, emotional stability, and a non-judgmental attitude. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, while maintaining a clean environment. Maintains documentation of 12 hours of ongoing training annually and reports any abuse or neglect. Full-time and part-time roles available, with hours ranging from 24 to 40 per week, at a pay starting from $17/hour. Benefits include paid time off. In-person work in Sioux Center, IA, with required relocation before starting. Shift availability includes day, night, and overnight shifts. PPE, screenings, and cleaning protocols are in place for COVID-19 safety. Preferred qualifications include high school diploma, CNA, and CPR certifications. No remote work offered.
