The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, focusing on chronic, pressure, surgical, and complex skin wounds. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, current MD/DO licensure, wound care certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Position involves physical effort, field travel (up to 25%), and adherence to safety protocols, including exposure to biohazards. Key responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, communication, and adherence to policies and HIPAA regulations. Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with flexibility and professionalism in varied environments.
